Twelve

Twelve

One two three four

Let the air quietly

Fill your lungs

And feel your roots growing

Deep deep deeper

Into the earth

As you are stilled

Five six seven

Muscles unwind

Shoulders drop and

Jaws unclench

As normality

Falls away

Eight nine

Open your eye

Really open them

Look around at the

Beauty of this moment

And this moment

Each a unique miracle

Ten

Look at the faces

Of those you love

And let that love

Percolate

Like your morning coffee

Until it’s full of flavour

Then drink it deep

Eleven

Give thanks

To the old gods

And the new

To the earth

To the sky

To your soul

Twelve

Let the air quietly

Fill your lungs
